    He was having a Porsche converted, but ran into issues with the converter. So he ended up with a Tesla Roadster.

    Daniel is now 'former' ? I haven't been over to FHOP in years - but I didn't know he wasn't even around. IIRC, he purchased a Tesla Roadster after having one of those 3-wheeled electric 'clown cars' as he called it. Don't remember the manufacturer or name.
    Edit - after reading trolbait's post ( oh yeah, I forgot about the Fiasco he had with the Porsche)

    I remember Daniel's Porsche horror story. He vowed to scrap the car instead of letting a Porsche enthusiast rebuild it. In the end he bought "Little Orange Annie", a leftover orange Roadster. Wasn't his daily driver an Aptera, and a Prius for long trips?

    In hindsight, it gives EVs a bad name. At the time, it, and a couple others, was the only EV available. Daniel got his before the Leaf was on the market.
