Saw a single occupant Honda Fit fly past me in the carpool lane today, sporting yellow CA carpool lane decals. I know a Fit hybrid is expected for '09 but this has to be a fake, though I didn't see the plate closely enough to see if they were manufacturer tags. Are decals even available for hybrids anymore? I know they weren't as of this time last year, but I thought there was some talk about an extra allocation. If not, I guess it was only a matter of time before someone acquired a set of unused hybrid decals and applied them to something other than. Though this was the first time I have personally seen it.
