What a differance a dealership makes. One step inside the door and a whole different atmosphere - calm and not "rushed or nervous". +1 - the car was ready and waiting for us to see +2 - Jim Dennis was professional and KNEW what he was talking about when explaining the features about the car (and explained them in a manner that mechanically challenged me could understand or MR AUTO DH could to understand - if you get my drift) +3 - when it came time to talk trade in, there was no sarcasm or belligerance (sp?), it was all said in a friendly, seemingly honest manner and my viewpoint was taken into consideration Though we didn't agree on a number at that time we left on a good note and I would have gladly recommended him and the dealership. He later left us an email with a revised offer. Unfortunately by the time we received it and agreed - the car had been sold. But - he agreed to hold the price and find us another car. Here it is 3 weeks later. I had to expand my color choice so I now have Classic Silver instead of Seaside Pearl -which is a hunky dory color. But back to the pluses - picking up the car +4 - told me a car would be in this week and it came in 5 days early- got it Saturday (ok-maybe they knew that-but it still earned them brownie points) +5 - they DID hold the price even though my trade was a bit more (of course I wasn't going to pay July's car payment since I knew a Prius would be forthcoming soon) +6 - at the last moment when I was ready to write my handy dandy Capital One check the finance guy actually told me that Toyota could give me a better loan rate - and they did. 6.55% vs 6.79% - so hey $7 a month is $7 a month So Gateway gets it in my book! Now I get to have fun with the car! heheh RA
Congratulations! Glad to hear you had a good experience and were able to get your car (even if it wasn't your first color choice). I'm sure you'll enjoy your new Pri. Hopefully we'll see you at one of our meets. You can keep tabs on when & where they are here: http://priuschat.com/NJ-New-Jersey-f70.html
