I've finally figured out how to craft and load custom ringtones on my corporate iPhone: personal (wife) - dog bark (her pets), vibrate contact list (corporate) - 'Whip It' Devo, vibrate all others - 'On the turning away' Pink Floyd, faint, no vibrate An iPhone 4, the 'free' instructions left a lot to be desired. But the overall flow: Select the clip from the music - I'm using Quicktime Drop the clip into iTunes music to forward to iPhone Use a 'free' clip generator to make the "*.m4r" file. E-mail it back to iTunes Mac Copy in "Library" for 'Tones' Copy from Library/Tones to the iPhone/Tones Sync More complex than I would have thought, it works and I can now build up my ringtone library.
