Finally put a deposit on a 2011 prius II in NJ Is this a good deal? Can I pull the trigger? Out of Door - 26060 Options (Dealer dont have base model) Decor Package 895 Window Etching 299 Rear Bumper Applique 69
The msrp for a Prius II is $24,480. I don't know what taxes have been added but if you don't take the add-ons, its msrp. If that is good for you then it's a good deal.
Decor Package 895 Window Etching 299 What the hell is a "Decor Package"? The Windows Etching cost them about $30. Lean on them to discount that junk or go to another dealer.
Looks like dealer inflation on low priced extras. Hang on to your money. Prius supplies are increasing and you should be able to get better deals soon.
Decor Package seems inflated & not worth the money Door Edge Guard Golden line around the car (not sure whats the correct term for it)
Price sounds high. I am seeing others getting BELOW MSRP. One member got 500.00 below MSRP recently. I would shop a bit more.
Pull my finger it's cheaper. Sorry could not resist. Check other dealers with supply on the rise should be able to get below msrp before all the normal add ons.
Ya, you might want to press the dealer for a little more discount. We purchased a 2011 Prius package 3 with a MSRP of 26048 for 24946. There are a few more perks of having the 3 over package 2. My husband has the package 2 2010, although his bluetooth streams and the package 3 version with JBL does not.
I'm a little confused by what you mean by "Out the Door." What I mean by OTD is tax, title, tag, first tank of gas. In other words.....I write you a check for X, and drive away with a car. OK....so MSRP on a G3-II should be $24,480 plus $1714 (approx) for taxes. This means that an MSPR OUT THE DOOR price should be around $26,200. If you pay this for a G3-II, (OTD) you're not exactly getting a good deal, but you're not taking it in the shorts either. $648 in doc fees??? Yeah, right. IMHO, in this economy, it stupid to pay MSRP for a car....even a Prius. Anything more than 26,200 OTD is even more so. Yer call. You asked if it were a good deal.... I'd say "No!"
I used consumer reports pricing service which was awesome. I paid $15 for the info to find out the dealer costs then they offer to send your request to 3 dealers in your area. I put in 3 different zip codes to get 9 quotes and found power Toyota, (which is auto nation) had the best price. They emailed me a full quote for the car and guaranteed the price for 48hrs. The ost was 24000. For a silver Prius III with no options. It was all in all a really good buying experience. Hope this helps! Larry
