Just bought my 2011 Prius II (base). Have a couple beginner questions: 1. Can i change the unlock feature when you touch the drivers side door to unlock all doors or does the dealership have to do that? 2. Maybe it doesn't work like this (maybe i'm used to my lexus) but shouldn't i be able to unlatch the hatchback even when the car is locked if i walk up to the back of the car with the fob in my pocket and touch the button?
1. Yes. There is a routine with the lock and the power button. IIRC, it is covered in the manual. See this thread. 2. The IV(4) and V(5) have 3 door SKS,.
The 2012 liftback Three will be getting 3 door smart key, but the '11 threes got 1 door SKS. check owner's manual. You can change unlock mode.
