Someone left me a nice driver side door ding with white paint attached. Looks like they opened their door hard. Almost looks deliberate. I removed the paint with some bug and tar remover, but there's still a small dent and scratch. Should I ignore it or try some touch-up paint? I knew this would happen eventually, but it still is lame.
I feel ya...I have a 1/4" inch scratch down to the metal on my hood...=( My baby has just under 4k miles on her too...=(
Bastards. That makes me close to insane. Down here with all the fossils if you park next to anyone your door will look like a pin cushion in a week. Have to park your car all the way at the end by itself. 5+ years old and no dings. Been plowed into twice though. Florida sucks. Carsmetics. About $250.
If the scratch went through to the metal, I'd suggest touch up paint (get a bottle from the dealer, apply a few very light coats with toothpick). If not through to metal, I wouldn't bother unless it bothers you.
