i usually pay about 18 bucks for an oil change at my dealer (i bring in my own oil). 12 for labor, the rest for the gasket/filter/misc. Yesterday i got my oil changed and noticed that the bill was a little higher then usual, $21. so looking at all my past bills the price of the oil filter has fluctuated from $3-7 with no rhyme of reason. The "list" price has stayed the same, $8.11. Anyone have a logical answer before i call the dealer?
So far I only bought two filters from the parts department at the dealer. Both times the list price was 5.41 and actual price 4.99 (before tax).
