We traveled, lost our cars only FOB. Eventually got car home via car trsiler, ordered new correct fobs from Toyota, and learned that we had a component on our smart system that was lacking. That part was a finish trim panel on tailgate, which got replaced 10 years back in a minor body repair. It appears all original wiring and Smart sensors were kept intact every the switched finish panel. This car now will not clear a B2775 code. We are unable to sync security capability, only have engine on / drive capability. This cars two main computers are original, and all of car worked including door lock unlock on original FOB for years. What is keeping computer from letting us flash the programming on fobs. Dealer has spent hundreds now, and unsuccessful trying to flash.
The finish trim on the tailgate should not have anything to do with making a new key fob. They just need to reseed the car with your new key fobs.
