Hello All, I thought I might give you follow up after seeking advice in Feb about my Prius purchase. This was a car with only 14,000 miles, always garaged, but infrequently driven for the previous year. I bought it privately from a family I am friendly with. Well it has been a good car. I have 28,000 miles on it and am averaging 47 mpg recently. I replaced the tires a few weeks after purchasing it with General all season radials. The only repair for me has been to have the TPM sensors replaced recently as one failed. I also put a new Kenwood Bluetooth radio in. In summary, despite some concerns about traction battery health that were expressed on this forum, so far so good for me. I hope that this may reassure others about buying low mileage older Prius vehicles. iPad ?
Good to hear. Thx for following up. While you were away, you missed some things and now 14k miles is considered crazy high miles for a used gen2. LOL See here: New owner of '05 with only 200 miles | PriusChat
Congratulations on buying the 2008 when it had 14k miles. Keep up with the scheduled maintenance and you'll be joining the 300,000 mile club someday.
