Lincoln Mercury division spokeswoman Sara Tatchio said Ford already had received 27 orders for the Mercury Mariner Hybrid by early Monday afternoon. The SUV will be sold almost exclusively online. Does that really count as a "second" hybrid vehicle for ford. Isn't it essentially the same thing as an Escape? Maybe I better read some more.
Well, I guess the same claim can be made with the HiHy and RX400h. At least they clearly state their clienteles. They don't sell the Mercury brand in Canada any more. All we're left is is the "Ford" Mercury Grand Marquis. (We don't get the Crown Vic)

And a big difference in interior trim and standard features. Rule of thumb, if you are purchasing a Ford vehicle, take a look at Mercury first, nicer trim, generally better engine packages and smoother styling.
