I found a package 6, Millenium Silver sitting on the lot waiting for me to purchase it. It has dark grey leather and chrome rims. The dealer made money on the add ons but MSRP was respected for the car. I didn't want leather originally, but, man does it make it nice. I will be learning how to adjust my driving in the next few weeks and look forward to getting more MPG than I ever have. Al...
Well, I drove it all around sunday, showing family and the such. Took it up the Cajon Pass 5400 ft. Ran like a champ no problem at all going up a 6% grade. Had it up to 97 MPH. I have already recommended my dealer to 5 people that want one. They had 3 more package 3's sitting on the lot. I am learning how to operate the Navi system, just need to find the "crack" so it can be used by passenger while driving. Having a ball with the car, even with my old driving style I am above 45 MPG Avg. Al...
I think the 'crack' you refer to is the following: Hit the 'display' button bezel touchscreen the 'volume' button in rapid succession touchscreen the upper left of the window, lower left, upper left, lower left this should bring up a wierd looking maintenance screen touch AND HOLD the 'override' until it changes color (about 5 seconds) touch the 'back' button use the nav normally there is a reason Toyota disabled the functions for while driving, so only have your passenger operate the nav while in motion!
Congratulations and welcome aboard! The NAV defeat trick can be found at http://priuschat.com/-KB-How-to-enable-NAV...een-t10332.html
Not bad... but the one concern I have is on such a new car, shouldn't you be in your "break in period" and not be pushing speed too much, racing the engine, or braking too hard? It's your car, of course, so do what you want, but I don't think that pushing the car too hard early on is recommended in the manual.
To this I'll add....Do NOT be tempted to play with the other buttons on that maintenance screen. Some merely give information, some reset items and some (like LOAD) will really mess up the system.
