Found this cable dangling under my back tire... Anyone know what this is?

    Hey everyone,

    I found this frayed (possibly cut) wire dangling in front of my back tire/under my back seat door on the right side. Anyone know what this cable is for and if this is a potentially dangerous problem? Thanks! IMG_2620-1.jpeg

    Jack it up and have a better look. I didn't notice any wires in the immediate vicinity on mine, just taking a quick look. The one wire I can think of in that "vicinity", though a little further back, is going to the speed sensor, in the rear wheel bearing.

    It's hard to tell from the photo. It's not just a piece of road debris, is it?
