I have had my 3MR (~265 mi. range) exactly 4 months as of today. I have put ~4200 miles on the car. I average 45/50 miles per day. I charge my car every night to 70%. That takes on average <2 hours. I charge my car to 90/100% if leaving immediately on a longer trip (>200 miles). I have run my car down to <10% on two occasions when returning home. Today, I drove ~150 miles round trip to relatives for Easter. Charged to 90% when I left home. At the end of the day, trip computer said I would have 32% left when I returned home. Upon returning, plugging in and putting the car to bed, I had 33% left, so the computer is spot on. We have made this trip countless times over the last 15 years. As we passed by the Costco near home, where we would always stop to fill up on the return leg, my wife said, "I feel like stopping at Costco for gas, for old times sake. This just feels weird not stopping for gas." With the Prius, it would take us 1 hour 40 minutes to make one leg of this trip, to drive one mile off the freeway in congested traffic and then wait in line at Costco to refill. Today we made the trip in 1 hour and 20 minutes, a savings of 20 minutes on the round trip. People on this forum have correctly pointed out that it can take longer to make a 250+ mile trip in an electric car than a gas car. But for everyday use and annual use, a BEV saves a lot more time at a gas station compared to an ICEV, when you charge your BEV at night at home. In 4200 miles, the car has had ZERO problems. We have never visited a Service Center. Everything works as advertised and promised. My wife says, "We are never going to own a gas car again!" I agree with her.
