Oh geez. I remember when it was ~yahoo Someone resolve a "bar bet" for me. What's Yahoo stand for? All I can remember is. . . Yet Another Hypertext O O The story is that a couple graduate students wrote a program to "read" a bunch of web sites (ten years ago there weren't many) and store some key words. This way, when they typed some words into their search program, their program would list the web sites containing those words. But it had been done before by other people, so they dubbed theirs, "yet another hypertext . . . ". Who knows a link to the story?
