I just heard today that the City of San Jose allows free parking at the city lots and meters until 2007. The catch is that you have to have purchased your hybrid in San Jose and gotten an application for the sticker or permit from your dealer. The idea is to promote downtown business and San Jose dealers, too. Don't care for the discrimination, though.
you apply at the city office and you have to show a bill of sale with matching vin.. they have backup systems to make sure all this is legit. *shrug* unfortunetly san jose dealers took to long for me and i went to stockton. *shrug*.. no free parking for me *shrug*
