My question is what is the frequency range of the speakers and what is the frequency range that the stereo puts out to the speakers? Will the bass cut out below 40 or 60 hz? If I can't play music terribly loud without distortion can I at least hear all of the music? I accept that a Prius probably won't impress me in the audio department, but I'd like to know if I'd find it acceptable. That'll determine if I lease to make payments easier or buy so I can upgrade the stereo.
i can't find specs on the stock speakers, but they are terrible. the bass at low volume was actually very good considering the construction of the speaker; but you will have tons of distortion when you raise the volume. take a usb drive w songs you are familiar w to the dealership and listen for yourself.
