I was sitting in my Taxi about 5-6 feet behind another Taxi at traffic lights, next thing i see his reverse light come on and starts to reverse and not slowly either, there was a car behind me so i couldn't reverse so i kept my foot on the brake and waited for the inevitable....and it arrived...by Taxi!! He had 3 male passengers that he was having trouble with....doesn't explain the reversing though...they jumped out and disappeared. The only visible damage to my car was a cracked licence plate but i'm worried that something behind that area might have taken a hit,is there anything in particular i should have a repair shop/garage take a look at?
You should have a shop remove the bumper cover and inspect/repair the damage. The reversing car is at fault and should pay all costs. Usually the foam shock absorbent needs to be replaced, and some brackets will be slightly bent. If a vehicle is reversing and an accident occurs that reversing driver is at fault. Even if someone across the street had a heart attack, the reversing car would be at fault. This is why it's best to not reverse, if you can help it. For those who don't speak "real english", reversing is backing up.
