So i was wondering if you take out the fuse to your fuel injectors does it make your car an electric for under 30mpg? if so is it safe? pros cons ? effect the battery?
If you make fuel system inoperable by taking power away from fuel pump for example Prius will run on just electric power. You can drive as fast as electric motor power level allows you to. You can do that until hybrid battery is empty. But driving at faster speeds without engine will damage transaxle and draining the hybrid battery completely will damage it. Also 12V battery isn’t charged. To drive for slower speeds at purely electrical power just install EV button. Priuses sold outside of North America have that button from factory and North American Prius version just needs that button connected to computer (coding is already there).
