Just read through the posts regarding filling the Prius gas tank and the problems with fuel spilling out. Everyone seems to agree that much of the problem is caused by the tight rubber seal around the filler neck opening. mdmikekind indicated a TSB where his collar was removed! Our Prius is a 2006 so this seal is still tight and causes a pressure build up during fill-up and manifests all the problems mentioned in the thread. Anyone know of a "fix/cure" for this problem? Ed
Yes, use another gas station or at least a different pump. The vapor recovery system on the pump should be able to handle the back pressure. This is not a fault of the car.
