Full charge;cold start

    In winter time when temps drop down to the 40's and below
    when you have a full charge from a cold start does your gas engine
    still fire up to supply heat etc.?

    Depends on what temp you have the heater set at, and whether the fan is on. If temp is at "LO" and fan is off, ICE doesn't start for me now when temps have been in low 40s.

    I have had my engine start twice now, once after pulling into my garage to park yesterday. And again this morning, when I wanted to check my EV charge. I think that when the computers conclude that the HV portion is low then the engine starts and charges. Probably normal on the Pip, when the majority of driving derives from the wall charger. VS the previous generations when the battery was often, always, mostly charging. I do not think it is anything to worry about.
