Do they sell the Volt in Europe? I drove the Volt -- it was surprisingly nice. Actually nicer interior and drive manners than the Prius ...... but it is also a 42k car. We have not had a GM car in the house in over 25 years -- and that was not a pleasant ownership experience. But I liked the Volt -- went to three dealers trying to get a lease quote -- not one ever got back to me! So the dealer attitude is still the same.
Yes, they do sell it over here, but there is its sister car the "Opel Ampera" (Vauxhall in the UK). The main difference is thet we do have 230V at the home plug so the chargin systems are a little adapted to that as well as the body style is a little different to the Volt. On these pictures you see the main difference of the Ampera. It looks much more aggressive compared to the friendly smiling Prius family.
