A while back I installed fog lights and in the process caused a loss of power to the Dome, ICU-B, and Rad-1 circuits because all of their respective loads' are inoperable. The fuses themselves are not blown but there is no voltage to them. Everything else works fine. Now on other years/ trim levels, I have seen these circuits connected by a "Short Pin" but on my 2010 Get III they are individual fuses #28, 29, 30. But electrically they connect (somewhere) - either via the internal bus bar of the fuse box or a wire split. either way, according to the diagrams, it happens INSIDE the box. Now thinking back to when I installed the fog lights which caused this issue, I (fished) a string through the fire wall rubber boot from INSIDE -to- outside. Attached the new wire to the string and pulled just it through the boot. never sharp objects, no snags... so although I can't imagine having pulling a wire loose from an inside connection - it is more PROBABLE in my eyes than physical damage to a bus bar inside of a fuse box. So this is where the speculation begins... 1.) despite having "some" idea of the diagrams, I cannot physically see where those particular cables would come in, or connect, in order to check them. 2.) Though I cannot picture there being physical damage INSIDE the fuse box, all the evidence points to it. SO....IF there is damage IN the box.... how the heck is it "put together"?! I cannot find anything in the way of a video or procedure for this box. Nor do I want to bc the chances of causing more damage from stretching old dirty brittle connections doesn't play-out well in my head. I'd be much happier digging around under the dash as its all taken apart anyway. BTW the car is now unregistered and inspected, until I can fix this. I have no money and am a retired Sub Vet. currently not working (more out of choice for the summer to windsurf but also bc I had surgery) but this all means that I haven't left my house in over 2 years. HAAAA! Please help. I'm trapped.

    Look at the diagram.
There is a jumper for the three fuses you indicated.

What fuse box do you have?

Can you take a photo of the fuse box and the cover of the box with the markings on the back?

Yes getting inside that box the under hood fuse box right there next to the inverter and the strut tower in that business is a lot of fun to try and get into so I don't know exactly what you had going on and how they fish the wire through and so on they have the fuse box flipped upside down in the car barely enough room for that damaging internally by fishing a wire through a rubber boot to get into the plastic case I highly doubt it You're saying you pulling a wire through the rubber boot to get into the fuse box pull the wire out of a connector might have to see how you fish that wire through I don't think so to be honest about it and boy you're going to play h e double out trying to take the fuse box apart whilst it's in the car You might want to go to a salvage yard and play around with the generation 3 Prius fuse box before you start playing with yours I can assure you of this I had a few generation 3s here and I've attempted to do similar to a generation too It's tricky at best You can mess up the whole fuse box plastic messing around with this stuff Not saying you can't do it but it's it's a royal pain of course plastic is made to be stretched and messed with so there's always that the generation too fuse box I have out and hanging in the shed with part of its wiring harness hanging out of it is quite something to get out of the vehicle especially without messing up the existing wiring harness and the stuff that's plugged to it you have to be very careful there is room to screw up all over the place hence why I don't be trying to penetrate the fuse box with plastic needles and thing to push through boots and get inside of the fuse box I'll handle my business on the outside of it generally speaking there's plenty of wires to pick up to do whatever I want but the guy you want to talk to be long in a minute with all kinds of options or something or things to ponder You've obviously fished a wire into the fuse box so you know what you're kind of sort of dealing with possibly You may want to go to a car that you can't hurt like in a junkyard where you can be a little rougher and take better look That's what I would advise in this situation.

My apologies. When I said I fished a wire through a rubber boot, I was referring to the fire wall boot. I never accessed the Inside of the fuse panel. So to trace the possible problem areas, the new wire simply went from the fuse box via an "Add-a-fuse" so that there would only be one wire needing to pass through the fire wall. I will add photos. (The fog lights themselves worked great as did the other side of the tapped fuse. But since then have removed all of that in hopes of correcting anything it might have caused.) .....I'm thinking I might have pushed the pins through their connector (shell) during my installation somehow. I'll have to test somehow with a tiny wire & multimeter. But it still means I'll have to remove that connector underneath - and its all the way on the outside towards the fender.
