Has anyone seen this in the Gen III manual, on page 571? "Take care not to spill gasohol. It can damage your vehicle's paint". I'm no gas or paint expert, but I understand gasohol to be anything mixed with ethanol. Also its extremely easy if you're not paying attention to spill a few drops of gas on your car. Is something unique about Toyota paint perhaps? Comments anyone.

There is a similar warning in the 07 owners manual. I think it is just a "boiler plate" warning that they add to all of their manuals.

Must be, since the only kind of gas available here for well over a decade has been 10% ethanol blend and I haven't ever noticed any filling paint damage.

It's a general warning for all paint.

Agreed, it is no different than any other car manufacturer would recommend.
