gas tank lid tension adjustment

    The small cover for the gas tank, the one that pops open by flipping the lever down near the driver's seat, no longer reliably pops open. Especially on hot days.

    Is there a tension cable for the gas tank lid that I can easily adjust?

    I suggest that you adjust the little spring attached to, and visible when you open the gas filler door, so that it is exerts greater tension when the gas filler door is closed.
