One of the salespeople at my Toyota dealer recommended the use of StaBil to keep the gas from "going bad" on my plug-in, since I fill up so infrequently (six weeks since taking delivery and I still have just under half a tank). Is this good advice?

I don't see a need for it and would never add it to my tank. After so many miles of all EV driving, something like 150 give or take, it'll force run the engine anyway for a little bit. And since a dealer said to do it, I even more so wouldn't lol.

No need for stabilizer for gas in the tank if it's just there for 6 weeks.

Nope, don't see the need. The engine will run from time to time, which will keep everything flowing. After 2 months, you may want to refill if you still haven't. No big deal.
