I'm thinking maybe I have misunderstood your question somehow ... ? That's how the headlights do work; the switch is on the end of the turn-signal stalk. You can have them off or have them on, regardless of whether the key is off or on. Are you saying on this 2002 the lights always come on with the key and you can't turn them off with the switch? Is it, possibly, a model with daytime running lights (the high beams, but at lowered brightness)? Or one where a previous owner did a mod? -Chap
