Gen 3 Inverter Cord out the back hatch - water intrusion?

    Just curious - for those of you who run an inverter for emergency home power - do you just run an extension cord out the hatch, and bungee the hatch down over the cord? Does any water/snow get into the car during a storm?

    Briefly looked for a convenient location to discreetly mount an RV/marine power inlet, possibly in the bumper, didn't find one.
