The traction battery is the high-voltage one responsible for moving the car. Most commodity inverters want a 12 volt input, so you will not connect those to the traction battery, but instead to the 12 volt battery. People with higher power needs sometimes do connect a (less common, more specialized) inverter to the traction battery instead.
