I've not been able to search an answer on this question -- all OEM hardware here: Can a gen II with 15" wheels & tires do a 'tire-on-wheel swap' with a gen III with 17" wheels & tires [a two way swap -- both cars 'in the family']? I'm assuming the TPMS in both can be reset after the swap [but that's my second question -- are the TPMS 2-way compatible between II and III]? Sorry if I've been unable to find this question answered already -- best I've been able to find is that gen II wheels will fit gen III, but I couldn't find the 15"/17" and TPMS addressed in the same context.
