I've been driving the Gen III TRD Sportivo version of the Prius for about 2 months now & I would like some pointers on the following :

    1. Is it poossible to set the door locks to "Auto", i.e. "Auto Lock" when a certain speed is attained & "Auto Unlock" when the engine's shut? I know there were certain threads related to this issue, i.e. closed doors, press the brake, switch on the engine, shift to "N", press "Door Lock" for 5 secs, but it does not seem to apply...

    2. Any idea if there's any aftermarket "auto-fold side mirrors"? Likewise, there were some threads found but it does not seem to be related to the Gen III models....

    Thanks!

    1. There should be a section in the owner's manual to set that. If not, it's definitely dealer-adjustable. Toyotas with automatic locking door locks are customisable in North America.

    2. ƒgƒˆƒ^Ž©“®ŽÔ. It's a Japanese OEM dealer accessory.

Look at Dealer Customizable Features, starts at page 587 of the Owners Manual, and on page 589 there are door lock settings. The defaults are to lock all doors as soon as the car is shifted out of Park, and unlock all doors when the car is shifted back into Park. That's how ours as behaved from the outset, and I'd never given it much thought: that's pretty much ideal for me.

Since the defaults are to lock/unlock per above, maybe you get it set by the dealer gratis.

There is also an (off by default) setting to lock the doors when a certain speed is achieved. Where you thinking of 2006+ Honda Civic? That was our previous car, and it worked like that. You had to customize it, but at least you could do it yourself.

Euro prius has no rolling lock, and i cannot be setby the dealer (at least it is not mentioned in the manual).
