Does anyone knows for a Gen3 maximum rpm can reach at full throttle? In maintenance mode and on drive hitting brake i only reach ~2500rpm. Also trouble in battery test in dr.prius app when it indicates to accelerate at full throttle; cannot go through test witch i think is because of low rpm. Thank you.
That's not really full throttle. The Prius is a throttle-by-wire system. The go pedal is simply an electronic input to a computer in the car, and the computer decides how far (or even whether) to open the throttle. When you are stationary and holding the brake, they could have made the computer ignore the go pedal altogether, but instead, the computer will see your input on the go pedal and it will open the throttle slightly. 2500 RPM is about right. The computer also has to observe limits on how much power can be sent to the battery, and what to do with any excess. It sounds as if it is doing what it normally does.
The later responses give the actual RPM the engine will hit when producing full power while driving. The OP's question was what RPM the engine will hit while standing still, in maintenance mode applying the go pedal with the brake.
Good points. Equally important, at 2500 engine RPM and zero wheel speed, motor-generator #1 is spinning at 9000 RPM. For that reason, the programming won't allow the engine to spin much faster than that even in Park. (Coasting down hills, it normally doesn't allow MG1 to spin backwards faster than about -5500 RPM.)
