http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic.../702030382/1148 That's a HUGE jump from what they were offering before on most of their certified used vehicles per http://www.edmunds.com/advice/cpo/articles...0/page007.html: "Certified used Chevrolet vehicles are covered under the GM Certified program. GM Certified used vehicles must be less than five years old, and have less than 60,000 miles. Each vehicle includes: 3 day/150 Satisfaction guarantee 110+ Point Inspection 24-Hr Roadside Assistance Comprehensive Limited Warranty for 3 Months/3,000 miles " It's unclear if the 5 years/100K miles starts from the day it was originally sold as new (it's that way for some manufacturers) or if it starts from the day and mileage of the used car purchase itself. For comparison of other certified used vehicle warranties, see http://www.edmunds.com/advice/cpo/articles...00/article.html. Let's wait for malorn and Jonnycat26 to chime in.
It sounds like they are basically doing two things, if I read the article correctly: extending the warranty back to 2002 and newer cars, and making it transferrable. Seems like a good move, and should help with their resale values I would hope. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Beryl Octet @ Feb 3 2007, 08:11 AM) </div>
