It is like living on a flood plain (so called because that where it floods and the flood plain is an integral part of the river) - some people have to be flooded out multiple times before they pay attention.
The article says the workers at the Arlington plant are considering a strike. GM should hold off idling the plant and let the workers go on strike. It had to happen eventually. I'm only surprised its taken this long.
