Ok - so .... GM offers up a GM electric car to a Tesla owner, while the owner can obviously get another ride on her own. "marketing stunt"? Is this supposed to be tantamount to back when Tesla gave a Model S to the head of Toyota - who obviously has the means to get his own ride? Yes - after musk gave the model S to the Toyota head, Toyota realized they need to get in gear and are now planning to build electric cars again. A great incentive to Toyota - as once again Toyota will build electric cars & a bar for toyota to achieve or (hopefully) surpass. So, is gm looking to create a similar result the way Tesla did with Toyota? Yea, maybe GM wants Tesla to build subbcompact electric cars with less power, less handling & no infrastructure? .
