I am donating my trusty 1995 Tercel to a food bank charity tomorrow. In 15 years, it never failed to start or needed towing. It is still running. But with two Priuses it is time to let it go. As someone wrote: "Folks, the Tercel was bare-bones transportation from Toyota. But those bones were darn fine. Very reliable and very functional. No wonder Tercel owners are so reluctant to move on"
If you swapped like a 4A-GE into it, it would be a hell of a lot of fun to drive. This is one of the cases where (2000lbs of) 1995 technology is waaaay better than the (3400lbs of) 2010 technology.
