    what network is this for? Most companies will not take an unlocked phone, it must have originated from their network

    T-moblie. However you can use it for ATT and other country carrier with sim card.

    Not true. With GSM, all you need is the SIM card.

    The G1's 3G band only works on T-Mobile's 1700mhz. It will not work on AT&T's 3G band.
