Have you seen Google's Street View yet? http://maps.google.com/maps?tab=wl Click on the "Street View" tab on the upper right of the map. Then click on the camera designating the cities/areas which have been filmed so far: San Francisco, Las Vegas, Denver, Miami, and NYC then click "zoom in" and read the easy instructions. Once you have the image, you can spin the image, zoom in and out, and click on the arrows to go up and down the streets. Make sure to go "Full-screen." Is this your Salsa Red Prii parked on the Embarcadero in San Francisco? Um, you may want to move it before you get a ticket . . . the meter is expired! http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8&ll...0443287192692,2 If you find an interesting image, click on the "Link to this page" and share it with us like I did above.
It's got to be prerecorded but what would be really cool is if they date stamped the image. If you knew where you were that day and time you might catch a view of your Prii or maybe even yourself! It could happen! Wildkow
That would be pretty cool, Kow. I was just cruising Vegas and there are people walking the streets. I'm sure that eventually someone is going to be poking around and say, "hey, that's me!"

Who knows what crazy things will show up that you might not want immortalized in the street view.
Wonder how they took those cool 3D images while driving down the street? http://crave.cnet.com/8301-1_105-9724604-1.html

Or perhaps, "who's that guy walking towards the Army base carrying a letter to the General about non-proliferation?"
That's kind of neat. Maybe one day they'll let you watch a video of your proposed travel route in fast-forward so you can get a good feel for landmarks. It's kind of a novelty until they get more area mapped out, though. PS - Lookie here: http://www.google.com/maps?q=970+OFarrell+...7036460163099,2
