I've wanted to give a big shout out to the Gen 5's handling and especially cornering ability. Since I have been driving a 20 mile very curvy and hilly stretch of country road once a week for the last few months, and more so since the roads have dried up, I have noticed and enjoyed my Prius's fabulous handling on that road. My previuos car was a 2016 Mazda 3 hatch, not a handling slouch either, but no match for the Prius. I have had Pirelli P Zero All Season 215/55R17 94V installed since last fall, and they add their part.

I've yet to drive the new steed on a twisty mountain road, though I am impressed with how it holds the curves going fast on the highway, even with lousy tires.

The tires on my LE are the limiting factor on cornering.

If you pump up the psi a bit, they will corner better.

Too much understeer on my Prime, needs a larger rear swaybar.

The Pirellis won't last 60K miles, but they are fun while they do and only $ 87 a piece at Amazon.

Have you tried wider and better quality tires?
