Toyota/Lexus Hybrid Dismantling Manual Makes a great gift for any new Prius Owner! http://techinfo.toyota.com/public/main/priusdisman.pdf
lol.. page 6 Frame Material: Steel Unibody & Steel Body Panels and Aluminum engine food/back door unibody.. ok.. steel body panels.. ok... but.. what's Aluminum Engine Food? lol... is the gas now aluminum?
hmm... that's a lot of tearing apart, just to take out the HV battery... well.. if i ever decide to take the battery out.. never happen unless that new Li-ion battery gets released for the prius.. i now know how.. otherwise.. the guide is somewhat useless. cool to learn the battery only weights 86lbs... so.. 14lbs lighter than i first heard. i now am re informed of the voltage and cells.. etc.. etc.. Thanks for the link it was pretty cool to read.
I wonder how many dismantling companies will take the time to read this or any info on the Prius(or any hybrid)? I thought with the title of dismantling,I would see how to take one apart, not just remove the HV battery. But it does make for good reading. Now I hope it is a long time before I have to take a battery out.
