Although our pre-event discussion has a thread in the Upstate NY forum, it should be announced here that our esteemed Hobbit (may the hair on his feet grow ever longer) won the Green Grand Prix MPG competition at Watkins Glen, NY last weekend. He took three trophies for top MPG (59.7) in different categories. It was a hilly course, and somewhat unconducive to advanced hypermiling. I was honored to come in second at 56.8 MPG. Neicy served as Hobbit's navigator, and was awarded the Order of the Magnetic Grey Tribble for her moral support and help at the expo that followed the rally.
