I was buying gas today at about 400 miles. A truck was next to me. We were chatting as we filled and my tank stopped at 7.7 gallons for $30.85. Thats the biggest purchased tank to date. I still had two pips too. Maybe my fuel bladder is finally growing a bit. His tank at 300 miles was filled at $99 ! Must be a 25 gallon tank I guess? anyway, he was not so friendly with me after that! I am so happy I now drive a Prius! but it's tough to make friends sometimes!
I was fillling my car up a few weeks back and I overheard the couple next to me in a truck complaining about putting $40 per day in the truck. Mine stopped before $30 and I normally go 3 weeks on that.
I hear what you're saying. Each time friends of mine get in my car they look at the mpg on the screen, roll their eyes and say "I don't even want to know...." lol
Yea Tony I couldnt help but go bug eyed when I saw the amount. Wow! He just kind of looked hurt. The vehicle looked pretty new too. ouch!
Yeah, part of me feels kind of bad when I pull up and then out of the gas station so quickly. I can almost feel the glares. Oh well, I guess its the price we pay, huh? It's really cool when another Prius pulls up though... it never fails that we sit and yap about the mods we've done, compare mpg's, etc... we've got a great group of owners here in Central Florida! :biggrin1:
