Ok, I could use some troubleshooting on this. Here's the stats on the car and problem. 2010, 46K miles When the car is in motion (forward or backward), there is a grinding noise. It is not the engine. The best description is that is sounds like when brake dust (rust) has built up and the first few times you apply the brakes you get a grind until that dust is rubbed off. But, this sound doesn't go away and it happens when the brakes are not being applied. And the other thing is that it subsides (at least I think so) when i get to 25mph or faster. This started today when I left work. There was no problem this morning. Any ideas before I call Toyota? Thanks.
please disregard this thread, and it can be deleted. i found the issue. the plastic access panel under the car near the front had fallen down and was touching the ground. oh well, i'm just glad it wasn't anything serious.
Yea i was think you may need a new 6grand transaxel. LOL just a loose piece of plastic. I am starting to think toyota might make good cars.
