I just want to say Happy Thanksgiving to all and thank You for always trying to help everyone! Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Am I the only strange American male, that enjoys having a big thick large pizza for Thanksgiving day? (I eat turkey and chicken all year round… So I get tired of birds! )
Apparently, we Brits have nothing to be thankful for..... But we wish all our American buddies a happy Thanksgiving!
All the early Brits headed over HERE, to America, and broke bread with the Indians. Thats why you guys are missing out on Thanksgiving.
Well, my wife's from Plymouth, England and we visited Boston Massachusetts and did the tourist bit to Plymouth Rock, Cape Cod, Hyannis etc. We did the tourist bit and called at the settlement reconstruction, but the across were to professional to relate to the fact we came from Plymouth UK. If i can still get the car round there I'll try to get a shot of it near the Mayflower Steps, still intact where the Pilgrim Father's boarded the ship to sail the Atlantic. If not, I'll post a photo of the steps for y'all. Sorry about the phoney accent.
would love to see a pic. when were you in plymouth, ma? i spent most of my life near the rock this summer. amazed at the busloads of tourists there everyday.
That was back in 2009. Got an offer from BA, 2 for 1 airfare on longhaul from London, England. Still cost me a fortune for medical insurance, (ancient and decrepit) but all in all well worth it. Was just before the Fall in New England so the hotel price rocketed in the second week. I believe that was to encourage all the incomers for the colour change to stay someplace else. That said, pushing the boat out for the Fairmont, Copley Square was a real treat, but don't think I'll ever be able to afford it again. P.S. Wife tells me I can take the car past the Mayflower Steps in Plymouth, UK but not allowed to stop there. %*!#@!
