I see these on almost all European cars in the US (VW, BMW, etc). Why don't the Prius come with them? :x Has anyone put them on? Know anyone who could in the Los Angeles area? Brian
I would like those side markers. But then, a mirror installation (the mirrors with indicators on them) might be a bit easier but probably more expensive. The reason the Prius (and a lot of other imported cars here) doesn't (don't) have it is because it's not required by the legislation and so they don't add it. Just like rear fog lights or rear disc brakes.
It should be noted that some insurance companies will give you a discount if you put the mirror turn signals on your car...as it's an added safety feature.
