So I had a horrible shake in gen3 on transition from traction motor to gas engine . pulled plugs no 2 flooded. see the red coolant on plug.. the engine shakes baaaad. most will not move it.. its bad ,. so i hire the no2 man at the Toyoda dealer he 25 yrs old (First red Flag) I explain why Head gasket is needed . (blank stare) A lotta discussion about OEM parts got tired of hearing OEM,, I explained I had some parts coming from TRD torrence.. (Rj and Darren ive known since original location in 80's) More Stares.. My Buddy Thomas Way was brought in to Ok TRD parts .. He Did . 264K on clock I stated probably smart to replace at least timing chain n tensioner .. OK'D.. theyve about 9 hours in the car . i pick up at kids house drive 14 of the 22 miles to my house. at which point the engine starts sounding like its upper end is coming apart / I IMED Shut car down And leave it .. The Mechanic says its the 5W 30 oil in car I LEFT THE WRONG BOTTLE BY MISTAKE .. 5W 30 is for the gen2 I drive.. Hard to believe I have a policy not to take cars back unless ive time to watch it come apart . So now Ive to take it apart . so far I see a long 2.5 in bolt missing from my electric thermostat . Yeesh.. Sounds like Cam caps arent tight .. I do not know the open Deck Z series engines well at all . Ive a video of engine running . dont know how to post it .. Wella.. No 1 or 2 man in 80's when I worked at Toyoda was 47 to 55 yr old ..
