I bought a brand new 2017 Prius 2 and I love it all except the radio unit thing. I love the other models that have an apps button and more use, is there a way to swap that into mine? Thanks
There are plenty of 3rd party options, but you will be giving up some of the OEM functions that exist under the "Car" menu and "Settings."
From the picture I found on Toyotas website, is this not easily swappable wih a higher edition? I want the entire with the app suit and not the basic radio. While keeping all my car features like us, and steering controls.
Found the following link on eBay, not sure if it's easily swappable or not. Anyone else know? 2016 16 TOYOTA PRIUS radio navigation GPS cd display screen 86100-47560 OEM | eBay
To get full navigation and satellite radio functionality, equivalent to the system on a Prius Three, you’d need more than the head unit. See my previous postings on this topic: 2016 Navigation unit plug and play? | PriusChat Sirius/XM radio Gen 4 Prius 2 question | PriusChat
Ah, thanks for the link, I thought I had read it was more complicated than I had originally thought. I’m considering doing an aftermarket one with Apple Play, but trying to decide if it’s worth losing some of the OEM functionality. iPhone ?
