I have been experiencing what appears to be a common but recurring issue with the lighting on NON-LED Gen 3’s. When purchased I could hardly see 20 ft in front of me and you could tell the lights were entirely misaligned. My driveway is on a slight incline and so not a good place to “adjust” headlights. After watching multiple videos on how to properly align Gen 3 headlights, I managed to get them leveled but still very dim. I replaced them with some aftermarket LED ensuring the harness points downward and both LED diodes pointed L/R and to my surprise, it was worse. When parked against a wall, i could clearly see the beam cutoff and light output was bright but when driving, I could hardly see anything. One thing I did notice was the Pass side headlamp beam appeared to have its hotspot aiming about 30 degrees to the right but the 2 beam lines were matching the left. I assumed the aftermarket LED’s were cheap and replaced them with a set of Sylvania ZXE bulbs which are very bright and still halogen, it made it a bit better but still not good enough for night driving. I checked the pass side light housing for damage and found none. I then purchased a known bright set of Sylvania LED lights which I have on my other 2 vehicles and light output was def brighter but only about 20% better, not what I expected out of these high end LED’s, but I feel its not the LED’s that are the issue.

I am now to the point where I can confirm with ease that the center hotspot on my pass side is off to the right and perhaps not helping the left light with to light up the road effectively. I have found multiple older posts on here where others have asked if these lights have a horizontal adjusment and responses have been a resounding no and post ends with no real resolution other than perhaps replacing headlight assembly.

Anyhow, I have never had issues properly adjusting projector style lights and these appear to be a nightmare. I have seen other gen 3’s on the road with aftermarket LED’s and you can tell their light is properly lighting up the road.

I used suxbeam s series fanless in my persona and loaded jbl car both gen3 those bulbs made huge differences . I tried em initially one of each on different sides . I could tell it immediately. Because of the fake projector I never even tried to adjust .

You mean AUXBEAM? I am not sure I follow you on the rest of your reply about JBL and fake projector. As far as Auxbeam, I definitely agree those are good lights but I wanted to stick with what has worked for me on all my cars hence why I got the Sylvania LED’s. My issue isnt the LED themselves, it has something to do with the light assembly IMO but so far no info anywhere about adjusting the light horizontally.

Auxbeam but they've discontinued the fanless S series . Auxito has them now . Auxito also has the hid to led that bypass the ballast

Haven't tried F series yet . I'm still fanless on s 1 and 2. They don't have this chart for the S series oh well. They no Make anymore .
