Hi. New owner here of an 08' Prius. Purchased 6/11/13. Black over light tan(?). Has 97k miles and drives like new. Really impressed with the car so far. I don't have an economical driving style by any means, nor did I purchase the car to save the world, I'm just a guy who likes technology and doesn't mind saving a few dollars on gas. With that said, I'm averaging about 44-46mpg. Some might say I have a lead foot, and I'm excited the car can produce that kind of mileage still. Also, I've noticed a lot of threads asking about towing 1000lbs+ with a prius. I've towed a 16ft fiberglass boat with a 75hp outboard, and it towed just fine. Averaged 27mpg. Congrats. I don't tow. I don't believe the car will endure towing a heavy load. I believe the passangers capacity is 800 lbs
Match made in heaven, I think. Enough power to get up hills, just have to be cautious stopping. Have tripped the abs a couple times on my gravel road. Pulled it out of the lake today like a champ. (albeit some funny looks of bystanders).
