Sorry if this is another 'me too' post but just wanted to share that I was able to achieve 2.8L/100km (84 MPG US) on a regular 10km cross-town drive a few days ago. I swapped from a 2.0T Volkswagen hoping to save some money but wasn't expecting mileage quite this good(!) and rather unexpected that I would get as excited about the fuel economy on my econobox Toyota in a similar way to getting excited about fancy German car stuff but there it is.
Well said. Those could have been my words when I picked up my '13 C. I had given up my (not too) "fancy German car stuff" for kids and minivans prior to the Prius switch, but 5 years later I'm still impressed by the frugality and practicality of this econobox.
